Although the FBI has seized the Bitcoin wallet of Ross Ulbricht, the alleged owner of Silk Road, they can’t access his Bitcoin stash. FBI is typing to decrypt Ulbricht’s Bitcoin wallet that consists of roughly 600,000 Bitcoins worth about $80 million, which is about 5% of all Bitcoins on the market.

Despite the encryption difficulties, Feds still have control of Ulbricht’s Bitcoin wallet, meaning nobody can access its contents.

FBI has sized more than 26,000 Bitcoins worth roughly $3.2 million stored in the site’s user accounts. Silk Road users have no chance of re-claiming the Bitcoin they had stored on the site, said the FBI spokesperson.
